Project Goals: Using ASL is an embodied experience and the acquisition of this visual-spatial language requires interactive learning environments and applications. This embodied interactivity can be achieved with virtual reality environments and technology. This project aims to apply and measure degrees of motivation and learning/retention of ASL through VR for both hearing and deaf students at the elementary and college levels.
